Where stories take root

Reroot is a film and design studio founded by Pratyush Gupta and Kinshuk Surjan. Our work grows from a shared curiosity—about where we come from, what connects us and how stories can reshape the way we see the world.

Pratyush is an interdisciplinary designer, storyteller and musician whose work blends culture, ecology and imagination. He is the author of Swarpeti, an award-winning pop-up book series that reimagines Indian classical music through tactile storytelling.

Kinshuk, is a filmmaker exploring identity and resilience through cinematic realism. His film Pola (2013) won the Indian National Student Film Award. His debut feature, Marching in the Dark (2024) has been screened across the globe and has won multiple awards.

Through Reroot, we seek not just to create, but to return, to remember and to grow anew.
